ESPN recently published an interesting article on how the betting odds see the first round shaping up.
It is an interesting read, but stops short of providing a mock draft based on the odds, so I thought I’d put one together and send it out before the first round kicks off tonight.
2025 NFL Mock Draft According to the Odds
The first four picks are pretty clear according to the betting markets:
Titans - QB Cam Ward
Browns - DB/WR Travis Hunter
Giants - EDGE Abdul Carter
Patriots - OT Will Campbell
The Jaguars could go WR, RB or DI here. The odds favor Mason Graham from Michigan.
Jaguars - DI Mason Graham
Raiders - RB Ashton Jeanty
Jets - OT Armand Membou
Panthers - LB Jalon Walker
Many think the Saints will go QB here, and Shedeur Sanders is the favorite to be drafted at #9, however the defensive line position has slightly better odds to be drafted here.
Saints - DI Walter Nolen
Bears - TE Tyler Warren
The Niners have equal odds to go defensive end or offensive line at this pick. Texas OL Kelvin Banks has slightly better odds to be drafted higher than Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams (O/U 13.5 vs 15.5).
Niners - OT Kelvin Banks
Cowboys - WR Tetairoa McMillan
The next two picks are difficult because the players/positions with the best odds to be drafted by the Dolphins and Colts are already off the board in this mock draft. Going with the best available player at a position of need.
Dolphins - CB Jahdae Barron
Colts - EDGE Mykel Williams
The Colts kick off a run on defensive linemen, as 7 of the next 9 teams all have favorable odds to draft a player at one of those positions.
Falcons - EDGE Mike Green
Cardinals - EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku
Bengals - DI Kenneth Grant
Offensive Line is the favorite for the Seahawks, but drafting one here might be a bit of a reach. Instead they go with Michigan TE Colston Loveland, who’s Over/Under draft position is 18.5.
Seahawks - TE Colston Loveland
The Bucs are one of the teams favored to go DL, but with the preceding run on those positions they go with LB, their second highest favored position according to the odds.
Bucs - LB Jihaad Campbell
Broncos - RB Omarion Hampton
The Steelers are also favored to go DL, with second position being QB. They are favored to take Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart over Shedeur Sanders, but I think they stay on the defensive side of the ball.
Steelers - EDGE James Pearce Jr.
With the run on defensive linemen, the next three teams find value at defensive back.
Chargers - CB Will Johnson
Packers - CB Trey Amos
Vikings - S Malaki Starks
A run begins on the next grouping of offensive linemen.
Texans - OT Josh Simmons
Rams - OT Grey Zabel
Ravens - OG Tyler Booker
Most of the remaining teams are favored to go defensive line/edge rusher, but there aren’t enough good ones to go around.
Lions - EDGE Nic Scourton
Commanders - WR Matthew Golden
Bills - WR Emeka Egbuka
Chiefs - OT Josh Conerly Jr.
Eagles - EDGE Shemar Stewart
